Mae Haad Wreck, Koh Tao, Thailand

Postby glitterball » Fri Feb 13, 2015 2:33 pm

This is a very accessible wreck of an old night boat that was grounded during a storm.
The exact location of the wreck is probably a few meters away from the location shown on the map, however if you swim out at the southern end of the beach and stay close to the rocks, you can't miss it.
  • Ease of Access: Straight off a popular sandy beach
  • Hazards: Not much :-)
  • Visibility: Fair: 15m
  • Best time to go: Anytime except October, November and December
  • Water Temperature: 27 - 31°C
  • Highlights: A wreck in very shallow water and a shoal of Fusiliers
