What are the longest fins I can use for snorkelling?

Hello

I like to snorkel in the sea for an hour each week for fitness as well as for the pleasure of seeing the sea life here in Grand Cayman. I use cressi fins, front crawl and hand paddles. I would like to get some new fins and want to get longer ones for more propulsion and to give my legs more of a workout.

Can anyone advise me on what types would be suitable. I can only find advice on long fins for free diving and just get confused.

I do not want to buy some longer fins and then find they are not suitable.

It will be much appreciated if anyone has anyone got any advice on this ?

I use actual snorkelling fins (the ones with holes in them), as actual scuba diving fins are really difficult to use when snorkelling as they tend to float slightly and 'strike' the surface of the water when swimming on the surface.
I sometimes see people snorkelling with apnea fins, however their technique is different (and they often have weights).

I generally go without fins in the summer months (when I don't need a wetsuit), and I get a much better workout without them - just watch out for any big currents!
